Why Multi Bus Bar Cell?
Thin rectangular-shape strips printed on front and rear of a solar cell are called busbars. Multi busbar cells, noticeably 5 busbar (5BB) cells, are currently one of the major trends in solar cell and module design.
A tab wire soldered over these bus bars connects one cell to another and ensures maximum current passage. Higher number of thinner bus bars reduces the internal resistance losses and improves performance. These thinner bus bars further reduce the cost of expensive silver used in production.
What is a PERC cell?
PERC stands for Passivated Emitted and Rear Cell. PERC is an additional layer added to standard solar cell that allows more sunlight to be captured and converted into power. This additional layer adds an efficiency of 1% over standard cells. System using PERC solar panels will generate 5% more energy than a standard solar panel.
